ITALIAN SPLENDOUR IN MALAYSIA

Italian furniture brand Flexform has long emphasised clean simple lines and adaptable solutions for style and comfort. Founded in 1959 by the Galimberti brothers, Flexform’s aesthetic may have been born in the 60s but is perfectly timeless in its appeal. Present in 89 countries, Flexform is now adding another; its full complement of living, dining and bedroom range recently debuted in Malaysia at its 3,000 sq ft flagship at The Gardens Mall, Kuala Lumpur.

At the store, one will find pieces by household names in furniture design. One will also find its 2015 collection by Antonio Citterio, which derives inspiration from the modern-day word ‘chillax’, a recent entrant into the Oxford Dictionary of English. Citterio is the beating heart that powers the brand, coordinating the entire collection for over 40 years, impressing on it a flair for the finest furniture. Flexform doesn’t limit itself though, collaborating with a whole host of other great Italian designers, including Asnago-Vender, Sergio Asti, Cini Boeri, Joe Colombo, Paolo Nava, Rodolfo Bonetto, Carlo Colombo, Gig Radice and Guilio Manzoni. Yet the Flexform DNA always shines through, no matter the interpretation: a harmonious colour palette of light and neutral tones given accents of light woods, satin finish and natural leather.
