The Swedish are coming! Volvo Car Malaysia has launched the all-new XC60 with three trim levels: T5 Momentum (RM298,888), T8 Twin Engine Inscription (RM333,888), and T8 Twin Engine Inscription Plus (RM343,888). The range-topping Inscription Plus includes two additional cool features, which are the Bowers & Wikins audio system and air suspensions.
Apart from rocking a redesigned exterior and a swanky new cabin, the newest kid of the block also sits on the marque’s latest modular platform dubbed as the Scalable Product Architecture (SPA). New active safety additions over the standard Intellisafe feature are Oncoming Lane Mitigation and Steer Assist. If needed, the latter also feature steers the vehicle away automatically to prevent collisions.
Powertrain-wise, the T5 Momentum is powered by a more traditional 2.0-litre turbocharged mill, putting out 254bhp and 350Nm. The T8 model differs by using the same plug-in hybrid architecture found in the new XC90 T8. Shifting 407bhp in combined power to all four wheels, it dashes from a standstill to 100km/h in just 5.3 seconds. However, an eight-speed automatic transmission remains standard across the board.
Five exterior colours are made available with two interior upholstery tone choices: Ice White, Bright Silver, Osmium Grey, Onyx Black and Maple Brown for the exterior, and Charcoal or Maroon Brown for the interior.
