#Baselworld2018 – Grand Seiko’s most accurate Grand Seiko Hi-Beat 36000 V.F.A

precision redefined

In its quest for precision, Grand Seiko timepieces, which first debuted to the world in 1960, has aspired to achieve the highest level possible, through movement engineering, high frequency calibers and a mammoth 34-day testing programme. This year, the Grand Seiko Hi-Beat 36000 V.F.A – which stands for Very Fine Adjusted – debuts to great fanfare, a recall of the first V.F.A from 1969. In the present-day version, a 950 platinum case of 39.5mm is finished in zaratsu polishing and features a dial incorporating a special mark made by Daini Seikosha, the company now known as Seiko Instruments Inc – which developed the first Grand Seiko hi-beat in 1968. Inside, you find its superlative calibre offering an accuracy of +3 to -1 seconds per day. Only 20 pieces are available in this tribute series, with each piece priced at €53,500/RM259,000.
