Apple and Hermès collaborate again on the Apple Watch Hermès Series

Repeat business

When it comes to combining technological innovation with purpose-minded artistry, Apple is nearly peerless. But when looking for a partner to give its original line of Apple Watches the mark of timeless craftsmanship, the tech giant turned to Parisian fashion house Hermès. Now with the introduction of the Apple Watch Series 2, the two industry leaders have collaborated once again to produce the new Apple Watch Hermès Series 2 collection.

New to the expanded collection, the Double Buckle Cuff comes in Swift or Epsom calfskin leather. Its 38 mm stainless-steel case has a ceramic back and comes with a leather strap in one of three hues: Rose Jaipur, Étoupe, and Bleu Agate. Another new addition, the Single Tour Deployment Buckle comes complete with a Hermès Barénia calfskin leather band, a 42 mm case, and true to its namesake, a hidden deployment buckle that opens with a click of the two side buttons. Both returning for the Series 2 collection, the Single Tour comes with either a 38 mm or 42 mm case, while the Double Tour – featuring a strap that wraps twice around the wrist – is only available with a 38 mm case. Both are offered with bands in a variety of colours, including Anémone, a brand-new shade of vibrant purple.

The new offerings in the Hermès Apple Watch collection are all paired with the Apple Watch Series 2 (and can also be paired with the first-generation Apple Watch), which features a powerful dual-core processor, water resistance to 164 feet, and a retina display that shines twice as brightly as that of the previous Apple Watch. Each device comes pre-installed with electronic dial designs inspired by Hermès’ Clipper, Cape Cod, and Espace timepieces. The new watches will be available for purchase starting September 23.
