If it is peace and quiet that you’re after, The Six Senses Krabey may just be your dream Hotel
Thinking of jetting away somewhere nearby for Christmas or the New Year? Then pack your bags and head to Six Senses Krabey Island in Cambodia for a little spa, sea and sun. The resort opens in December 2018 and is offering holidaymakers a treat.
While direct flights from Malaysia aren’t available just yet, those with private jets and helicopters can land at Sihanouk International Airport. Upon touchdown, it’s a 10-minute drive to the welcome reception, then a 15-minute speed boat to the island.
The destination is well worth the journey, and you’ll be leaving the hectic city life for some island fun. Choose from 40 private pool villas, each with a sun deck, infinity plunge pool and outdoor rain shower. But remember to tear yourself away and hop over to the signature Six Senses Spa.
Inspired by the Khmer Kbal Spean River, the spa offers its iconic range of treatments, including some that use local ingredients. In the evenings, treat yourself to a wide array of Khmer and Southeast Asian dishes at the resort’s two restaurants.
The adventurous needn’t worry, because Six Senses Krabey Island is more than just a relaxation haven. The resort offers plenty of outdoor water sports, jungle fitness circuits as well as fishing and snorkelling to while away the hours. Bringing the kids? The Nest Kids’ Club has enough to keep little ones between the ages of four and 12 entertained.
To celebrate its opening, Six Senses Krabey Island is offering a Private Experience Package for guests (20 percent off best available rate). The four-night package comes with accommodation in a Hideaway Pool Villa Suite, along with perks ranging from a private sunset cruise with cocktails and canapes to a 90-minute, therapeutic Khmer herbal massage and dinner at the resort’s signature restaurant. You can also participate in a Khmer cooking class, an organic farm tour, and a visit to the local pagoda. To enjoy the discount, visits must take place between 1 and 21 December 2018 or 11 and 31 January 2019.
