Forget showy pieces that often say too little about the item and too much about the wearer’s intention to be noticed. Remember that being suave and understated with luxury accessories that give you a sense of quiet sophistication will not only show off your charm, but your excellent taste for the finer things.
This update includes Armillion’s classic bracelets, All Blue’s conceptual creative bracelets, A.Lange & Sohne‘s handsome timepiece, New & Lingwood’s all-climate cardigan and for that last touch, a bright and cheerful fragrance from Louis Vuitton.
1. Smart Luxury
Armillion’s bracelets combine old-school elegance and luxury with modern convenience.
Armillion, based out of Geneva, combines traditional luxury crafts with a 21st-century lifestyle in its line-up of smart bracelets. Inspired by fine watchmaking, the ceramic-bodied bracelets are virtually scratch-proof and accented by precious metals, as well as presented in a clean, elegant design. It is offered in several options, including the pictured Eastern Dream (£48,480/RM250,000). The technology it holds enables everyday functions befitting a modern sophisticate, such as contactless payment, security access, and keyless car entry. Best of all, it charges automatically every time it is used.
2. Spring King
New & Lingwood Cardigan
We make the case for why New & Lingwood’s cardigan deserves to be a Spring staple in your wardrobe.
What’s cooler than being cool? Slipping into New & Lingwood’s Alder linen cotton cable knitted jacket (£495/RM2,018) in olive green, that’s what. Knitted by Irish heritage knitwear maker Inis Meain, this cardigan-jacket is made from a cooling blend of linen and cotton, which means that you can wear this in the tropics as well as overseas. The fact that it’s not too heavy makes it ideal for crisp spring mornings, while the elegant shawl collar and contemporary cable knit pattern allow the jacket to be paired with anything from pleated linen trousers to chinos.
3. To the Moon and Back
A. Lange & Sohne Grande Lange 1 Moon Phase
A. Lange & Sohne unveils the newest addition to its limited edition Lange 1 25th anniversary collection.
A. Lange & Sohne is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its Lange 1 collection with a limited edition series this year. The newest addition to the anniversary collection is the white gold version of the Grande Lange 1 Moon Phase, a model that features an argenté-coloured dial in solid silver with deep-blue numerals. Six stars and multiple small dots are hand-engraved on a white-gold lunar disc to resemble a starry night sky. Limited to just 25 pieces worldwide, the new timepiece comes fully equipped with a handsome blue alligator leather strap with grey stitching.
4. The Way of the Serpent
All Blues Bracelet
All Blues’ handcrafted bracelet hugs the contours of your arm like a faithful companion.
All of Swedish conceptual jewellery brand All Blues’ pieces are created by experienced artisans in a third-generation goldsmiths’ studio in Stockholm – which means you won’t find anything else quite like their Fat Snake bracelet (€380/RM1,753). The 18-carat gold vermeil bracelet has been expertly carved to work its way around your wrist, with its bold and tapered form mimicking the belly of a snake. It can, the studio says jokingly, ‘become hungry when it has not eaten’ – in which case, you might want to put it on just before you head out to dinner.
5. A Spritz of Nature
Louis Vuitton Les Colognes Fragrances
The sun, garden and sea serve as muses for Louis Vuitton’s newest fragrance collection.
Louis Vuitton has added another new fragrance collection to its portfolio, and it’s called Les Colognes. Comprising three different scents; Sun Song, Cactus Garden and Afternoon Swim, the collection draws aromatic elements from the sun, sky, gardens and sea. Sun Song encapsulates warm, nectarous notes of orange blossom suffused in sunlight, while Cactus Garden will reveal soothing notes of tea. The Afternoon Swim, on the other hand, will be ideal for those who prefer a more subdued scent of orange. These elixirs are charmingly encased in striking, transparent flacons in yellow, green and blue.
