Hublot Is Now The Johor Darul Ta’zim Football Club’s Official Timekeeper

Luxury Swiss watchmaker Hublot continues to grow its football love affair with a new partnership with homegrown heroes the Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) Football Club. Through this new partnership, Hublot is now the official watch and timekeeper for the defending champions.

Also known as Johor Southern Tigers, the football club was chosen by the watchmaker because of its standing as continued excellence, being the first team in the country to win six consecutive Super League titles from 2014 to 2019.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, Hublot and The Hour Glass Malaysia have released their first campaign pictures with the football club today.

“Johor Darul Ta’zim FC is one of the leading and most ambitious clubs in Southeast Asia who has been exceeding everyone’s expectations since its establishment, uniting the entire state while inspiring young footballers. It is an honour for us to welcome the Johor Darul Ta’zim FC in the Hublot family,” said Ricardo Guadalupe, Hublot’s CEO. “As the first luxury brand to invest in football back in 2006, Hublot has long been synonymous with football and JDT has an illustrious history and reputation. The club shares our values, goals and commitment to excellence.”

This isn’t the first time JDT and the watch brand have partnered up, having participated in the Hublot Match of Friendship charity event to raise funds in June 2018.

“Hublot is not only one of most respected watchmaking brand in the world, but their reputation for excellence and innovation makes them a fitting and exciting sponsor for JDT. It will also be a driving force in promoting the Malaysian football scene to greater heights,” said HRH Major General Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Johor’s crown prince.
