Ladurée’s New Healthy Foods Go Beyond Superfood Macarons

Ladurée Malaysia, the famed Parisian macaron patissier and bakery, introduces a selection of new healthy treats to the menu. These recipes come straight from the brand’s Paris kitchens, running the gamut of salmon avocado toast, red fruits yogurt, banana chocolate chia pudding and a rainbowl salad alongside three new lattes – pink (beetroot), green (matcha) and yellow (turmeric).

Salmon avocado toast  – mousseline brioche, smoked salmon, avocado, radish, soft boiled egg and seeds – is Ladurée’s healthy version of brunch staple eggs benedict. For a light breakfast options, there’s red fruit yogurt – coconut yogurt, strawberry, raspberry, coconut slices and maple syrup – and chia pudding banana chocolate – banana, cocoa granola, almond milk, chia seeds, chocolate and maple syrup. The former is zesty and refreshing, while the latter is heartier and easy to enjoy.

Salad lovers will enjoy the rainbowl, a mix of spelt seed, sweet potato, avocado, edamame and red cabbage served with yogurt raita dressing, a combination that leaves you light despite being rather filling.

The three new lattes offer an alternative to your regular caffeine fix. The pink latte, made with beetroot and rose, is mainly bittersweet with a nice floral finish, while the green (matcha) latte will be instantly familiar to fans of the green tea powder. The yellow latte, on the other hand, is a bit more unique, with a rich turmeric kick (to aid with cholesterol, liver function and even osteoarthritis) that will either be a hit or miss among coffee fans.

Ladurée’s signature macarons aren’t left out either, with four new superfood-inspired creations available. There’s the baobab mango passion, pomegranate chocolate, matcha moringa, and almond lucuma, making it less guilty to indulge in these fine sweets.
