Tiffany & Co. Reopens Ginza Flagship Store Revamped By Damien Hirst

Stunning luxury stores may line the shopping district in Ginza, but this July, Tiffany & Co’s refurbished flagship store shines more brightly than the rest. Celebrated British artist Damien Hirst has breathed new life into the three-storey building exterior, with a cherry blossom façade on its surface that was formerly dressed in a reflective shell, created by architect Kengo Kuma. Pastel pink, white, green and red flower petals were applied individually on the panels, creating the impression of a tree in full bloom. The conceptual artist also placed his touch on the re-imagined spaces of the 6,243 sq ft interior.
