In our weekly series, we bring you the latest in luxury news from around the world. The Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II Has Launched In Malaysia And Is A Marvel Of Bespoke Luxury

The Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II recently launched in Kuala Lumpur, bringing almost a century’s worth of phenomenal luxury to the next level. The subtle enhancements to the marque’s eighth generation icon include a new polished horizontal line in between the daytime running lights above the Pantheon Grille—which has also been tweaked ever-so-slightly so that the Spirit of Ecstasy and the ‘RR’ badge are both much more prominent. The marque also realised that Phantom owners wished to drive the car themselves more frequently; in response, Rolls-Royce has made the steering wheel slightly thicker to offer more control and connection between driver and car. ‘Rolls-Royce Connected’ also debuts in the Phantom Series II, which provides easier, more seamless navigation between the car and the brand’s exclusive Whispers app, as well as a spectrum of data on the Phantom. The Phantom Series II starts at RM2.5 million while the Phantom Series II Extended starts at RM2.9million. However, considering that every Rolls-Royce vehicle is hand-made and completely bespoke—to wit, clients can choose from 44,000 colours options—that price is but a formality.

Cartier’s Chapter 3 Le Voyage Recommencé High Jewellery Collection Explores Creative Tension

Chapter 3 of Cartier’s Le Voyage Recommencé is highlighting the brand’s enduring passion for the world and its diverse cultures. This high jewellery collection is embracing creative tension, ranging from hyper-realism to stylisation and abstraction. First in the line-up is the Yfalos necklace, which take inspiration from the sea, envisioning turquoise as an extension of the sky. It features two turquoise cabochons, one azure blue and the other streaked with brown veins, set amidst ribbed coral beads, turquoise beads and emeralds. The Panthère Confiante necklace presents a new interpretation of the original panther, crafted with lush acid-coloured details and a 26.52-carat cabochon peridot. Meanwhile, the Pileo ring comes in a form of an abstract ‘sea urchin’ design, which revolves around the gem’s edges, and its sphere-like structure is embellished with rose-cut and brilliant-cut diamonds, complemented by white gold studs. Then, the Spina necklace showcases broken lines, alternating diamonds, sapphires, and openwork. Its centrepiece spotlights two 4.56-carat cushion-cut diamonds and a 29.16-carat Ceylon sapphire. Concluding this line-up is the Lerro necklace, attributing three octagonal Colombian emeralds totalling 5.62 carats. Their intense green hue is accentuated by a monochrome diamond composition, weaving fluid and graphic lines.

The Minotti Goodman Collection Makes A Renewed Entrance With Additional Features

Minotti—the ‘Made in Italy’ luxury furniture brand—reintroduces Goodman, a modular seating system designed by Rodolfo Dordoni in 2022, with a renewed concept. The hallmark of this collection lies in the plush comfort of its cushioning thanks to innovative technology that integrates layers of polyurethane paddings. Expanding upon its features, Minotti incorporates new curved designs in addition to its traditionally linear pre-existing configurations. Drawing inspiration from the 1970s, the Goodman now boasts increased versatility, featuring more pronounced angles that curve at 30-, 75- and 90-degree widths. With bronze-coloured or polished chrome metal feet, the Goodman can also transform into a functional coffee table. Like an adaptable canvas, this updated design establishes the Goodman as a dynamic, ever-evolving system that resonates with the constant transformations of contemporary living and evolving human tastes.
