The Kuala Lumpur jet set can now follow the likes of Cillian Murphy, Ryan Gosling, Madonna and Jennifer Aniston in experiencing the ultimate beauty indulgence without having to fly out of the country. CACI, touted as the go-to red-carpet ‘non-surgical face lift’, has landed and is available exclusively at Essa Spa, Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur.
Those familiar with the treatment are still awed by the amazing tech that goes behind every procedure, posing a great alternative to collagen injections. Essentially, CACI is a state-of-the-art ‘Computer Aided Cosmetology Instrument’ with at least three decades of research in its development; its most famous client, Diana, Princess of Wales, was an ardent supporter for years.
The latest system, CACI Synergy, has the ability to reduce wrinkle depth by up to 75 per cent while improving skin elasticity by up to 88 per cent, thanks to its proprietary S.P.E.D. Dual Action technology. It combines, for the first time, cutting-edge expertise with tailored solutions, levelling-up on advanced microcurrent expertise while synchronising it with LED skin rejuvenation.
“Customisation is key and we offer a range of exclusive technologies for even problematic, sun-damaged skin,” says Mary Overton, CACI’s Global Export Manager, who was in town to introduce the system. “All with minimal downtime.”
To emphasise this, Overton has already assessed my skin condition (sensitive and prone to redness), and tailors the appropriate treatment sequence, which includes three new synergistic technologies. The first, Orbital Skin Resurfacing, involves a light dermabrasion with a gentle yet efficacious rotation hand piece to reduce imperfections, including age spots, and wrinkles. The blue LED light therapy recommended for my skin enhances circulation, speeding up cell renewal, and stimulating collagen.
The second, Ultrasonic Rejuvenation, employs a unique ultrasonic peeling handpiece that helps exfoliate and revitalise skin through high-frequency ultrasound waves that travel deep into the skin’s dermis without damaging healthy tissues. Despite its intensity, the procedure is remarkably gentle with a slight tingling sensation.
CACI’s signature non-surgical face lift is the main event, targeting muscle laxity by using the same microcurrent impulses to lift and tone, while the LED light therapy reduces fine lines and wrinkles. Incredibly, the treatment also redefines facial contours for a more youthful, toned appearance. The procedure is next to imperceptible, as I feel only a light clamp as Overton concentrates on each section of my face. In fact, the CACI Synergy machine is whisper quiet throughout the whole treatment without so much as a beep—a mindful and important touch.
The third step in the treatment would be Wrinkle Reduction. With the use of a Wrinkle Comb, fine lines are effectively plumped out and softened. At this stage, I try the red LED light treatment to encourage skin rejuvenation and am delighted to find my skin had no adverse reaction.
The full treatment also involves hydratone therapy over a hydro mask packed with collagen, and hyaluronic acid and rose water to deeply nourish and hydrate skin. Throughout the entire treatment, a rejuvenating hand mask is applied under microcurrent gloves with the softest, lineless hands revealed afterwards.
True to CACI’s claims, the results, post-treatment, are indeed visible, with my personal worries addressed, including deepening nasolabial folds. “You’ve even got apple cheeks now,” exclaims Overton, and it is no exaggeration to say my complexion looks and feels at least 10 years younger.
