Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur’s 2024 edition of #DinewithChef presented a month-long dining celebration featuring the Head Chefs of Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, and Hyatt Centric Kuala Lumpur. Joining them were local and international talents from around the world, including Indonesia, Poland, Japan and Malaysia.

At a recent #DinewithChef afternoon tea session, Robb Report Malaysia got a glimpse into the talents of Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur’s Executive Chef Stig Drageide and Executive Pastry Chef Holger Deh, who headlined this year’s celebration. Poised to helm the culinary team at the upcoming Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur—which is set to launch by the end of the year—the chefs showcased a preview of the delicacies that await in the hotel’s culinary repertoire.

Hailing from Norway, Executive Chef Drageide has served in many reputable establishments, including Bagatelle in Oslo, the only Norwegian restaurant to have received two Michelin stars until 2012, as well as Hyatt Hotels around the world, and Hotel Continental in Norway. The chef showcased his expertise at the afternoon tea with dishes such as Skagen Toast topped with Oscietra caviar, Smoked Salmon Tartelette, and Bresaola Croissant, all of which were popular favourites.

Executive Pastry Chef Deh, on the other hand, is an internationally acclaimed pastry chef from Germany, with a portfolio of experience ranging from Rosewood Hong Kong to the one-Michelin-starred Restaurant Haerlin at Raffles Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Hamburg. Having also baked for the King of Malaysia, Chef Deh constantly pushes the limits of one’s imagination with his ambitious and bold creations. From a 5m long mille-feuille to a table laden with delectable pastries, the chef stops at nothing short of extraordinary.

Those who missed out on the exquisite afternoon tea session with the two talented chefs need not worry. Eager guests can soon have a taste of the culinary delights at the much-anticipated launch of Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur.
