Set on the quiet shores of Natai Beach, Iniala Beach House is a grand, secluded resort, strategically located 20 minutes away from Phuket International Airport. As part of the Iniala Group—a collective of companies spanning hospitality and development—this experiential retreat founded by Mark Weingard is well-known for its elaborate architecture and modern compositions. What sets the Iniala Group apart, however, is their dedication to philanthropy. A portion of their revenue is directed towards the Inspirasia Foundation, the group’s grant-making organisation committed to funding and championing non-profit initiatives. Since 2003, the Inspirasia Foundation has donated millions to support marginalised communities and the disability sector.
With a deep passion for art, Weingard brought his vision to life by integrating a multitude of design elements from 11 local and international talents, including the likes of Brazil’s Campana Brothers, Spain’s A-cero, New Zealand’s Mark Brazier-Jones, and Thailand’s Eggarat Wongcharit. More than 40 art pieces are scattered within the resort, spotlighting the creative ethos of these creators. Each room and villa is individually crafted to evoke its own atmosphere and ambience, influenced by particular themes and concepts that unfold throughout the resort.
The three beachfront villas—The Collector’s Villa, Villa Siam and Villa Bianca—feature three bedrooms, each with its own en suite bathroom, a spacious living room, a dining room, an exclusive spa, and a private outdoor pool surrounded by expansive decks. In The Collector’s Villa, The Carpenter’s Chamber stands as a display of Irish designer Joseph Walsh’s lofty craftsmanship. Carved from ash wood to resemble a fluid sculpture, this handmade canopy bed serves as the centrepiece of the suite. The villa also houses a 22-seat private cinema inspired by Thailand’s lush rainforests, with a 160in screen, 3D technology and a surround sound system.
The Iniala Penthouse is an open-plan suite that is conceived as a unified whole, akin to a vast piece of furniture cleverly disguised as a bedroom. Key components in this ample suite contain a bed suspended from the ceiling with floor connection, a sunken bathtub, a futuristic shower confined in a glass tube frame, and a special carpet with memory foam underneath to stimulate the sensation of walking on sand. Meanwhile, the Iniala Pool Residences offer a tropical hideaway ideal for families and couples. One of the prime attractions of these residences is the sweeping rooftop terrace nestled among towering trees, providing scenic views of the Andaman Sea, complete with dining and lounging areas as well as a plunge pool. All residences at Iniala Beach House comes with its own villa manager, ensuring personalised service and attention for guests.
Dining at Iniala Beach House is a specialised affair as the kitchen team communicates closely with each guest to meet their expectations. Led by Iron Chef Thailand 2020 winner, chef Jay, the in-house menu provides options ranging from classic Thai dishes to fresh renditions such as lobster with mango sticky rice, and wagyu with massaman sauce. Guests can also opt for the exclusive 15-seater tasting menu at Aulis Phuket, a chef’s table concept by British chef and restaurateur Simon Rogan. The restaurant focuses on hyper-local and seasonal ingredients, which stays true to Rogan’s culinary philosophy in an ever-evolving menu.
Beyond the vicinity, guests can enjoy a variety of outdoor adventures and activities within the idyllic setting of Phuket. Exciting picks include visits to the elephant sanctuary, sunset beach horse rides, a two-hour morning trek through Khao Phra Thaew National Park, and more. For golf lovers, the Aquella Golf Country & Club is situated right around the area as well.
