Louis Vuitton Is Showcasing Olympic Glory With Bespoke Trunks At This Year’s Summer Olympics

As part of LVMH’s Premium Partnership with the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Louis Vuitton has created two bespoke Medals Trunks and two Torches Trunks to present during this year’s biggest sporting event. These handmade trunks are crafted to safeguard both medals and torches, playing an integral role in the torch relays and victory celebrations. The Medals Trunks are covered in signature monogram canvas with brass corner and closures, along with a central section and two hinged ‘wings’ that will uncover drawers to accommodate 468 medals. Its inner facade and drawer handles are lined with black matte leather with subtle embossed logos and serigraphy of this year’s summer Olympic and Paralympic Games. Presented on the deck of the Belem Caisse d’Epargne Foundation ship—an emblematic 19th-century French vessel—the Louis Vuitton Torch Trunk was opened by Florent Manaudou, the first torchbearer who kicked off this relay in France. The torch will pass through the hands of over 10,000 torchbearers as it makes its way to Paris on 14 July.
