The excitement swelled as Singaporean musicians Benjamin Kheng and Jasmine Sokko delivered a soaring joint performance. Covering this travelling pop-up was a 674 sq m space with seven interconnected rooms—an immersive exploration that traced the ring’s evolution from its inception to its devoted admirers across generations, and the meaning behind the number three. Set in The Arts House—a historic site that once served as Singapore’s first parliament—the exhibition presented a sequence of curated rooms, shedding light on the trademark interlocking rings and their myriad dimensions of love.

Spotlighting the multifaceted nature of Trinity, Three is a Magic Number showcased the ring’s deep connection to the number three by illustrating synergy and balance through its interlocking bands of yellow, rose and white gold. These bands were also tied to historical figures like Louis, Pierre and Jacques Cartier, as well as emblematic boutiques in Paris, London and New York. In tandem, The Creative Evolution charted Trinity’s progression from its original blueprint to its unfading beauty, demonstrating how its use of golds and understated design consistently guided Cartier’s creative trajectory.

The subsequent segment contained The Early Days of an Icon, which explored the ring’s association with French poet and playwright Jean Cocteau in the 1930s, who famously wore two Trinity rings stacked on his left pinkie. Expanding upon this was Trinity: The Icon of Icons, which reflected on the ring’s universal appeal and its cherished status among many cultural icons, including fashion tastemakers, Hollywood and café society groups. Transitioning to the Trinity Centenary Collection, the room displayed a collection of rings unveiled in a chromatic trilogy of gold, along with rare reissues and new pieces. Rounding this off was a collaborative project titled Imagine Infinite Circles, curated by French artistic director Jérôme Sans. This room featured 30 selected artworks by artists from various disciplines, each capturing the many facets and microcosms of Cartier’s Trinity.
