Action-Packed Exclusives Ahead Of Singapore Grand Prix 2024

In preparation for the upcoming Singapore Grand Prix, the hotel will showcase a special display of the 2022 Scuderia Ferrari F1-75 racing car in the lobby of Hotel Tower 1 from 16 to 23 September, alongside brightly lit towers in brilliant Ferrari red throughout the race weekend. Alongside this collaborative effort is a private gathering with Scuderia Ferrari HP, with invitations extended to selected Sands Lifestyle members who have designed custom Marina Bay Sands-themed Scuderia Ferrari HP helmets.

Fans can also enjoy premium hotel packages with meet-and-greet sessions with F1 drivers Zhou Guanyu from Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber, and Yuki Tsunoda from Visa Cash App RB Formula One Team. This includes palatial stays at a Paiza Premier Suite, three-day VIP race access at the Sky Suite, intimate brunches, and afterparties. Nightlife seekers can head over to the city’s largest nightclub, Marquee Singapore, to sign off the weekend with an electrifying post-race celebration.

A string of top chef team-ups will also take place over the course of this adrenaline-pumping weekend. Diners can anticipate a flavourful trek beginning with a four-hands feast from 11 to 13 September, uncloaking the talents of Mott 32 Hong Kong’s executive chef Lee Man Sing and Mott 32 Singapore’s executive chef Lam Kwong Ming. Attendees can look forward to a deep-seated A Night with Wolfgang: A Culinary Retrospective three-course dinner at Spago Dining Room on 18 September, specially hosted by chef Wolfgang Puck, and a double chef excursion by chef Puck from CUT by Wolfgang Puck and chef Mano Thevar from modern Indian cuisine Thevar on 19 September. The gripping weekend comes to a close with a four-hands brunch at Maison Boulud, where chefs Boulud and Puck will unite for the first time in Singapore. Bookings are now open. No special occasion is complete without a dose of shopping privileges. The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands is making the most of your shopping experience with exclusive deals and a variety of capsule collections. A highlight to look out for is Hugo’s limited-edition release with the Visa Cash App RB Formula 1 team, where shoppers can check out hoodies, sweatshirts, T-shirts, and leather pieces embellished with graphic accents and racing motifs. New Gourmet Concepts

Maison Boulud by distinguished chef and restaurateur Daniel Boulud is a new French dining addition that mirrors the success of its counterpart in Montreal. The menu spotlights Boulud’s inventive takes on classic French recipes, using high-grade seasonal produce that manifests into servings of succulent seafood salad with crispy haricots, a gorgeous seafood platter brimming with oysters, lobsters and prawns; a Mediterranean-inspired claypot rice; signature French confections; and more. Diners can also enjoy a fine selection of wines from international regions, alongside essence-laden aperitifs.

“We have had the privilege of working with chef Daniel Boulud since the opening of Marina Bay Sands in 2010 and we are thrilled to partner with him once again to bring his celebrated dining concept to Singapore. As the sole French restaurant on our property, we look forward to broadening our culinary portfolio,” says John Sloane, the vice president of food and beverage at Marina Bay Sands. The restaurant is located at B1-15 and L1-83 in the South Promenade within The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, with indoor seatings across two levels and an outdoor terrace. Dining reservations are now open for lunch and dinner.

Diversifying the hotel’s roster of celebrity chef establishments is estiatorio Milos by chef Costas Spiliadis, a sought-after Greek restaurant that has been in the market for 45 years. This marks the brand’s first Asian outpost and 10th international location. Here, diners are treated to an upscale epicurean adventure of uncomplicated cooking, centring on sun-ripened harvest; an abundant use of olive oil, herbs and spices; and a bountiful spread of oceanic catches. Vegetables are presented beyond a mere side dish, leading with stacks of well-browned zucchini and eggplant paired with creamy tzatziki and piquant Kefalograviera cheese. Diners can also enjoy a vast collection of 350 Greek wines to complement their meal. Found directly across Sands Theatre at B1-48 in The Shoppes, the 155-seater venue is now accepting reservations for lunch and dinner.

Restorative Amenities

Intended to nurture your holistic well-being, the Where Mind & Body Connect wellness programme is a series of in-house classes that welcome participants of all fitness levels. Among the series’ highlights is the sound meditation session, which uses the resonance of binaural beats and solfeggio tones to heighten our state consciousness—an effective practice for anyone coping with anxiety or stress, promoting mental clarity and physical healing. Additional classes include soul flow, hatha yoga, vinyasa yoga, aqua fit, and Pilates. These classes are held at the SkyPark Observation Deck on level 56 of Hotel Tower 3 and are open to both hotel guests and the public. Book your classes now.

In collaboration with Jo Loves by British perfumer Jo Malone CBE, the hotel is introducing an exclusive collection of fragranced essentials in its Sands Premier Rooms and Family Suites, ranging from shampoos and conditioners to bath gels and body lotions. Guests can expect new invigorating scents like grapefruit, lime and spearmint, along with aromatic notes of vetiver, cedar wood and guaiac wood. This partnership is part of Marina Bay Sands’ ongoing reinvestment scheme and is set to expand further in September with a renewed focus on top-of-the-line reservoirs.

Wondrous Exhibitions At ArtScience Museum

On 4 October 2024, ArtScience Museum is set to uncover one of its most extensive and ambitious exhibitions to date—the eagerly awaited World of Studio Ghibli. Vice president of ArtScience Museum, Honor Harger, shares his enthusiasm: “For years, we have been trying to bring a Studio Ghibli show to Singapore and it’s finally here—the big one! Their visually sumptuous films explore humanist topics like ecology and nature, and diverse female characters who are strong, independent, complex, sensitively nuanced, and yet relatable,” Harger said. “As such, the show—likely to be one of the biggest in our history—perfectly aligns our Year of Extraordinary Women theme.”

This graphic-driven thematic showcase will celebrate some of the best loved animated films of all time across 11 gallery spaces, including My Neighbour Totoro, Princess Mononoke, and Spirited Away. Visitors will get a chance to explore elaborate theatrical sets representing Studio Ghibli’s storied history, large-scale installations, and engaging activities. Grab your tickets online now and be among the first to witness this depictive spectacle.
