The Penang Marriott Complex Recently Launched And Is The Country’s First Triptych Of Three Distinguished Properties

The Pearl of the Orient, with its potpourri of gastronomical offerings, exceptional art scene, and charming heritage buildings has long been on the radar for travellers worldwide. However, the distinguished name of Marriott has been missing from Penang island’s hospitality scene of boutique accommodations and luxury hotels—until now. Marriott International created a new milestone in its illustrious history with the grand opening of its 50th property in Malaysia, the Penang Marriott Complex.

Lim Guan Eng, member of parliament and former chief minister of Penang; Ramesh Jackson, area vice president, Indonesia & Malaysia, Marriott International; accompanied by representatives and guests of Oriental Holdings Berhad at the Grand Opening of Penang Marriott Complex.

The landmark development is the first in the country to house three Marriott Bonvoy brands under one roof: Penang Marriott Hotel, Marriott Executive Apartments Penang, and Marriott Residences Penang. As the first Marriott Residences in Southeast Asia, the Marriott brand has marked its entry into Penang’s branded residences segment. Located at the prime address of Gurney Drive, the building stands at a towering 223m, making it the second tallest skyscraper in the city of George Town.
