Plaza Premium Group recently hosted an Appreciation Night Gala Dinner at the Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre, celebrating esteemed business partnerships and shared achievements. Distinguished guests included Yang Berhormat Tuan Loke Siew Fook, Malaysia’s Minister of Transport, and Song Hoi-See, Founder and CEO of Plaza Premium Group.
What began in 1998 in Kuala Lumpur as the world’s first independent airport lounge concept has grown into a global powerhouse, spanning more than 1,600 touchpoints across 600 international and domestic airports in 150 countries. Plaza Premium Group has proudly clinched the prestigious Skytrax award for Best Independent Airport Lounge for eight consecutive years—from 2016 to 2024, and counting.
Its services go far beyond its award-winning lounges, with a portfolio that also includes Aerotel in-terminal hotels, innovative dining concepts such as Flight Club, and personalised meet-and-assist services through ALLWAYS. Just last year, the group also debuted Intervals, an award-winning airport bar concept in Hong Kong—an industry first.
Yang Berhormat Tuan Loke expressed his admiration for Plaza Premium Group’s journey, stating, “My presence here is to show support to a Malaysian brand. This is something we want to honour and treasure, because it is not an easy achievement for a Malaysian company to grow into a global enterprise in just 26 years.” Song echoed this sentiment, expressing his heartfelt gratitude to his team and valued guests, saying “The people are my greatest asset. Without your support and encouragement, we would not be what we are today.”

Exciting new project and openings are set to unfold in the region. In the second quarter of 2025, Plaza Premium Lounge will debut in Surabaya, Indonesia; Phnom Penh, Cambodia; Bali, Indonesia; and Senai, Malaysia. Plaza Premium Lounge will also launch its opening in Bangkok, Thailand, in the third quarter of 2025.
The gala concluded with an exciting lucky draw giveaway, offering guests prizes such as staycations and flights to destinations including Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan.
