The Mercedes-AMG G 63 Is An SUV Boasting Style, Power And Comfort

An icon of squared-off styling and imposing road presence, the G-Wagon is reverberating on Malaysian roads once again as the Mercedes-AMG G 63 (from RM1.95 million). It packs an AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine capable of 585bhp, one that has been electrified with a 20bhp boost to make for a 0-100km/h time of 4.4 seconds—for a vehicle that tops 2,600kg, no less. A Nürburgring record-setter it is not, but it does boast of handling niceties such as active suspension, hydraulic roll stabilisation, and adaptive damping, along with a nine-speed transmission. The interior is no slouch, either, outfitted with lounge-luxury leather and carbon-fibre trim, a Burmester surround sound system, as well as the MBUX operating system and full suite of driver aids including augmented reality navigation.

Girard-Perregaux introduces two new Laureato 38-millimetre timepieces in Saga Green and Midnight blue, crafted from stainless steel and featuring the brand’s GP03300 self-winding chronograph movement. These watches are designed using 1975 aesthetics showcasing textured dials—the Sage Green model has gold accents whereas the Midnight Blue has silver details—with luminescent watch hands, integrated bracelets, and a unique octagonal bezel. This slim designed timepiece comes with a refined finish, as well as a pink gold oscillating weight with circular decorative stripe patterns in the Cotes de Geneve motif.
