Medical aesthetic practitioners in Malaysia who eagerly anticipated the powerful Morpheus8 treatment are already enjoying its many benefits, thanks to the pioneering efforts of Dr. D Clinic, the first to debut the treatment in late 2024, in line with its 10th year anniversary.
At the clinic’s two-day anniversary celebration, supported by Neoasia, Dr Dinesh Kanasen (pictured above seated), founder of Dr. D Clinic, as well as his wife, LCP certified aesthetic doctor, Dr Sarahanna Selvarajah (pictured above standing), were on hand to share their insights on the evolving role of technology in aesthetics. The future of ageing was further explored in a talk that expounded on the evolution from dated flawless skin concepts to the current idea of clean and healthy skin, insights into medical aesthetics for the face and body, as well as Morpheus8’s transformative potential.

Morpheus8 has taken the world of aesthetic medicine by storm and is essentially a non-surgical skin treatment, combining the efficacy of radiofrequency (RF) energy and micro-needling to improve the skin’s appearance.

During treatment, fine needles emit radiofrequency energy on to skin, stimulating collagen and elastin production, and simultaneously contracting skin’s connective tissue. As a result, Morpheus8 helps to smoothen wrinkles, fine lines, acne scars, stretch marks, and cellulite, as well as improve sagging. The treatment provides a deeper penetration into skin compared with other treatments. In addition, a unique burst mode treats several layers of skin at the same time for an added boost of collagen stimulation, and Morpheus8 is the first to be FDA approved for Subdermal Adipose Remodelling.
The results of Morpheus8 typically lasts a year, while the session takes around 90 minutes (including numbing cream). There is relatively little downtime, but skin should be allowed to rest and heal for two to three days.
