As the wealth landscape in the ASEAN region continues to flourish, drawing an increasing number of discerning investors, HSBC makes a monumental step with the launch of its flagship wealth centre in Malaysia. This initiative is a key chapter in HSBC’s expansion, reinforcing its presence as a distinguished wealth manager in Asia, and joins the ranks of its established centres in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland China.

Following the introduction of HSBC Premier Elite last year—an elevated service proposition that enhances HSBC Premier privileges—the wealth centre serves as an extension of Premier Elite’s exclusive offerings. Clients and high-net-worth individuals can now gain unrivaled access to personalised financial services, expertly guided by a team of senior Relationship Managers. This launch opens the door to unique investment opportunities that are designed to grow their wealth, protect their assets, and create a lasting legacy for generations to come.

“We aim to provide a comfortable and private space for our Premier Elite customers to engage in wealth planning discussions with their Relationship Managers and our team of wealth experts,” said Linda Yip, Country Head of International Wealth and Premier Banking, HSBC Bank Malaysia. “It is also a place where they can bring their family members, as our new centre not only offers private rooms but also family-friendly spaces where our customers can strategise for their family’s future.”

Situated on level 12 of Menara IQ in Tun Razak Exchange—the premier international financial district of Malaysia—HSBC’s state-of-the-art centre features 11 private rooms, two larger meeting rooms, a dedicated customer lounge, and a versatile main lounge that doubles as an event space. Every detail has been meticulously curated to deliver the ultimate premium experience.

The wealth centre is also LEED Gold-certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), underscoring HSBC’s commitment to sustainable design and eco-conscious practices. To pay tribute to HSBC’s deep-rooted presence in Malaysia for more than 140 years, heritage walls—selected from its archives in Hong Kong—offers a glimpse into the bank’s storied history. For instance, visitors will find photographs of its first building in Penang and rare currency specimens dating back to the 1870s.

HSBC commemorated the launch of the wealth centre with a refined celebration, which was graced by Malaysian artist Red Hong Yi. Her latest work, Red & Gold, holds a place of honour at the wealth centre. Crafted from more than 11,811 pieces of 20-sen coins in HSBC’s signature red and gold hues—symbols of luck, wealth and success—the piece is arranged to form a stunning golden hibiscus, Malaysia’s national flower. More than just a milestone in the financial sector, this also marks a remarkable confluence of wealth and culture, standing as a reminder that building wealth is, in itself, a form of art.

In conjunction with the launch, Premier Elite clients were invited to an exclusive dining experience by Chef Raymond Tham of the one-Michelin-starred Beta KL. Featuring a specially curated eight-canapé menu, paired with four signature beverages, the event perfectly drew to a close leaving guests with a lasting impression.

“In an evolving global landscape, Kuala Lumpur plays a crucial role in creating wealth for the nation. The opening of HSBC’s wealth centre in Malaysia solidifies Kuala Lumpur’s position as a regional investment hub,” said Yang Berhormat Tuan Liew Chin Tong, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry. “The objective extends beyond wealth management to foster industry growth, channelling financial resources towards the industrial sector. This strategic approach is geared towards propelling Malaysia as a key hub for manufacturing and technology, positioning Kuala Lumpur for abundant global opportunities.”

All HSBC Premier Elite customers are welcome to visit the new HSBC flagship Wealth Centre at TRX (Level 12, Menara IQ) by making appointments with their Relationship Manager.
