Life At Le Bristol Paris Is A Celebration, Especially In 2025 For Its 100th Anniversary

This year, Le Bristol Paris celebrates a century of French elegance with a complete immersion into the Parisian way of life for all the senses.

What does Parisian chic look like these days? Just ask Le Bristol Paris, the hotel that has been the beating heart of a city synonymous with audacity and elegance.

Born a century ago today in 1925, amidst the vibrancy of the Roaring Twenties and the Art Deco movement, Le Bristol Paris has become the epitome of Parisian sophistication. As one of the last family-owned grand hotels in the world, initially founded by the Jammet family, the hotel was later entrusted to the German Oetker family, who have lovingly upheld its celebrated traditions and preserved its timeless allure.

Parisian Way Of Life

The Le Bristol Paris x Sporty & Rich special 100th-anniversary capsule collection marks the second collaboration between the two brands.

First, dress the part with the second capsule collection between Le Bristol Paris and Canadian lifestyle brand Sporty & Rich. Amidst the glistening streets of the French capital, the new Parisian flows with effortless ease. She relaxes on plush sofas in sweaters of comfort. She crosses the street in jeans that are subtle, warmed by a statement varsity jacket and keeps a low profile with a cap.  Comfortable sneakers get her where she needs to be, while fuss-free tote bags keep her belongings close. Off duty, she retires to her favourite hoodie, complete with fuzzy socks to keep cosy. The casual pieces that make up the Le Bristol Paris x Sporty & Rich special 100th-anniversary capsule are made for strolling down Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré or grabbing coffee at Paris’ many cafes.

The first collaboration between Le Bristol Paris and Trudon lights to the essence of a magical union.

Then, imbue the senses with the essence of Le Bristol Paris. The hotel proudly releases a first-of-its-kind custom fragrance with master candle-maker Cire Trudon, a unique scent, available as a candle and a room spray, that brings guests into the olfactory world of Le Bristol Paris. Notes of ground wheat mingled with freshly cut grass and crisp linens evoke the palace’s signature elements—its iconic flour mill, its garden and, of course, its rooms and suites. Breathe in the notes of white musk, vetiver and cedar, and be transported right into the hotel where this scent will permeate throughout every day of 2025.

Le Bristol Paris Honeymon Suite

For the ears, Le Bristol introduces a special anniversary vinyl that fills the air with the best jazz tracks of the past 10 decades of music. The 10 tracks, each emblematic of their respective era, bring listeners back to the height of these eras to celebrate the joie de vivre of the French way of life, just as Count de Castellane, the hotel’s first owner, was always game for hosting the most splendid of Parisian fetes. The vinyl record itself is dressed in the colours of Le Bristol Paris, promising to be a coveted collectible that will stand out amidst your collection.

Those curious about the history of the hotel may delve deeper with the book Ode to an Art of Living. Published by Flammarion for the September literary season, the pages recount the DNA of Le Bristol Paris, telling the intimate stories of its brand of unrivalled hospitality, its undisputable role in shaping Parisian life and culture, and the intimate stories that made this place the Grand Dame it is today.

Chef Arnaud Faye

There’s also a chance to taste what Le Bristol Paris is all about. At Epicure, the haute cuisine restaurant of the hotel, Head Chef Arnaud Faye celebrates the hotel’s centenary with his signature vibrant cuisine, where plant-based elements and citrus notes create a fresh and spirited take on a centennial celebration. This identity will shine in November, during a gastronomic week in Japan, where Chef Faye will bring his artistry to L’Osier in Tokyo. Back in Paris, he will also host a grand gala dinner and the traditional garden party.

Last, but not least, experience unique family fun with Le Bristol Paris’ very own edition of Cluedo, the first-ever hotel version of the iconic board game. Le Bristol Paris’ version is set in the 1930s and replaces murder with a whimsical cat hunt for Socrate, the hotel’s resident beloved Birman mascot. Little detectives must use clever bait to lure him back, exploring key locations such as the Castellane salon, Epicure’s kitchen and the gourmet shop.

Palace Culture At Its Peak

Le Bristol Paris Suite Imperiale

The highlight of Le Bristol Paris’ centenary celebration features two of its most iconic suites that have been renovated under the direction of Elvira and Narcisa Oetker.

The Signature Honeymoon Suite, nestled under the rooftops with a view of the Eiffel Tower, features a pristine contemporary design. A fresco by Dimitri Rybaltchenko, inspired by the myth of Eros and Psyche, elevates this romantic haven to new heights. Meanwhile, the Imperial Suite’s redesign pays homage to the American painter George Condo, a frequent guest who has transformed the suite into his atelier. For the first time, Condo has collaborated on the decoration of a hotel suite, showcasing carefully selected and custom-made artworks to reimagine the space as a collector’s apartment, where arresting colours and intimate portraits create a sense of home and artistry.

For its 100th anniversary, Le Bristol Paris only has one wish—to extend the festivities for the next hundred years. And by ‘festivities’, it means bespoke hospitality, thoughtful gestures, attentive listening, a touch of humour, ultimate comfort, exquisite cuisine, a cosy ambiance, and a culture of the unexpected.
