Lando Norris Wins The Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix 2025 And Celebrates With Louis Vuitton’s Trophy Trunk
Following the FIA Formula One World Championship Trophy Trunk, Louis Vuitton awards the second Trophy Trunk of the season—designed to house the official trophy—to Lando Norris who won the Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Australian Grand Prix over the weekend. In keeping with its tradition of travel, the maison has remained closely associated with automotive culture. Crafted at the historic atelier in Asnières, France, the trophy trunk features a hand painted V—for ‘Victory’ and ‘Vuitton’—on its two folding front panels in green and yellow to represent the colours of Australia. Its interior is covered in black leather, while its exterior is finished with leather trim and the same brass corner protectors, locks, and clasps seen on Louis Vuitton trunks since the 1860s.

Established by the United Nations in 2012, the International Day Of Happiness is celebrated annually on 20 March, highlighting the significance of happiness and well-being. To commemorate this special occasion, Chopard shines a spotlight on its Happy Diamonds concept, unveiling a glistening selection of creations. These include the square Happy Diamonds pendants, crafted in ethical 18-carat rose gold or white gold adorned with brilliant diamonds, as well as the Happy Sport 36mm Joaillerie timepiece, also crafted in ethical rose gold with a fully diamond-set case, a bezel adorned with snow-set pink sapphires and diamonds, and a luminous white textured mother-of-pearl dial.
The Jaquet Droz Bushido Tourbillon Is A Unique Piece That Took 200 Hours To Create
It took half a dozen craftspeople 200 hours of work to create the Tourbillon Skelet Sapphire—Bushidô Tourbillon, which is a unique piece from Jaquet Droz. It depicts a Japanese bushido mask, of the type worn that embodied the code of honour that a warrior samurai would live by, often depicting gods or demons to assert strength and strike fear into opponents. A 42mm case created completely out of transparent sapphire allows unparalleled viewing of the work of art beneath it. Hand-painted to the tiniest detail, it also sports translucent enamel for horns, and a setting of Murano glass beads—a first for Jaquet Droz. At the back lies a mechanical surprise—at 12 o’clock sits a tourbillon, opposite the barrel at 6 o’clock which supplies an impressive eight days of power to this self-winding calibre. ‘Pièce Unique’ is engraved on the oscillating weight.

From now until 11 May 2025, the Janu Tokyo hotel will be hosting An Afternoon Tea with Art, as part of its first anniversary celebrations. This very special afternoon tea is inspired by artist Tomokazu Matsuyama’s latest art series, FIRST LAST. In fact, Matsuyama’s first solo exhibition is being held at the nearby Azabudai Hills Gallery, so all hotel guests during this period will receive complimentary tickets to the exhibition as well as an opportunity to purchase one of 30 limited-edition prints of Nice Quiet Hot Tears (his latest work) at the Janu Tokyo boutique.
The Afternoon Tea with Art offering is curated by Yukie Noguchi, Janu Tokyo’s pastry chef, and is inspired by Matsuyama’s works. For instance, the first and third tiers of the afternoon tea set is inspired by Passage Immortalitas, while the second tier includes elements of Keep Fishin’ For Twilight. Culinary highlights of Afternoon Tea with Art range from a New York cheesecake with white chocolate, and the signature ‘Januron’ macaron and a Sakura and berry mousse with seasonal fruit, to a roast beef open sandwich (featuring beef sourced from Matsuyama’s hometown in Gifu Prefecture), and salmon mousse with a vegetable mille-feuille and bouillabaisse jelly with caviar.

The afternoon tea selections are presented on a lotus dias with a series of brass monkeys observing guests enjoying nibbles of Thai lobster salad with makrut lime and caviar, along with a corn tartlet with whipped corn-vanilla ganache and caramelised popcorn. There is also the unmissable Thai tea-infused madeleine, shaped in delectable lotus shapes, reflecting the artistry and the passion of a television series people will still be talking about in the years to come.
