The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur offers guests the option of selecting between three beauty rituals, each with a name inspired by Valmont’s Swiss heritage. Lift From The Peaks is designed to smooth, plump, and tone the skin; Hydration Of The Bisses revitalises dry skin; and Luminosity Of Ice reduces imperfections and stimulates the skin’s natural glow.
At the lounge, the relaxation experience begins well before the facial even starts. Guests are offered a warm towel and a cup of ginger tea before being escorted into one of the eight spa rooms available. My esthetician wasted no time getting to work. Having selected the Hydration Of The Bisses ritual, the facial begins with a two-step cleansing process. Valmont’s Icy Falls is a melting gel that gently removes makeup, while Bubble Falls is a soft, cloud-like cleansing foam that rinses off any remaining residue.
Next came the moisturiser, applied in preparation for the facial exfoliation—a unique method that seems reversed but one done with intention. The moisturiser softens the skin for gentler exfoliation and acts as a buffer, preventing it from redness and dehydration. During this exfoliation process, gentle movements are used to stimulate lymphatic drainage, encourage fluid circulation, and promote relaxation, priming the skin for better absorption of hydrating actives.
From mists to serums, my esthetician guides me through the hydration ritual, sealing it all with Valmont’s iconic Prime Renewing Pack—a bestseller with one unit sold every 60 seconds worldwide. It is sometimes dubbed the ‘happy mask’ for its ability to bring a smile to faces, or a ‘Cinderella mask’, due to its transformative effects, a key product featured in all Valmont rituals at The Spa. The remaining serums do not go to waste, as my esthetician expertly blends them with hand cream to massage my arms.
