Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill Serves The Billionaire’s Favourite White Truffles

The White Truffle Menu is only available until the end of this month.

The kitchen conceals some of the rarest luxuries, and among them, the white truffles are as elusive as precious gems. Unlike other truffle varieties, white truffles aren’t reliably farmed; they show up unpredictably, perhaps only for the worthy—or anyone with a canine treasure hunter. What’s even more unpredictable is the price that these treasures can rack up to. As of today, the highest price fetched for a single white truffle was US$330,000 by casino mogul Stanley Ho, costing more than the price of an average supercar.

To truly understand its appeal, it’s best to experience it at Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill, Kuala Lumpur, where executive chef Giles Langford presents a limited-time White Truffle Menu. The dining experience journeys across six courses, showcasing the nuanced ways that best highlight this seasonal delicacy.

The White Bean Cappuccino, for example, is the perfect canvas for stronger flavours to shine through. Served with a side of girolles and gruyere truffle toast, it’s comfort food at its Sunday best. You just can’t go wrong pairing truffles with cheese.

Although classics are always dependable, there’s a thrill in new creations. The King Crab Chawanmushi, topped with Oscietra caviar and white truffle shavings, is a triple threat. It might seem over the top, but with a very delicate hand, it proves that a little goes a long way.

Other standouts include the A5 Wagyu Sirloin with white truffles—a dish that borders on restraint—and a hazelnut ice cream dessert topped with white truffle shavings—a match made in heaven, bound by Piedmont, a region famous for its white truffles and hazelnuts.

When it comes to wine pairings, sommelier Mandy Chin believes in the ‘what grows together goes together’ philosophy. For this exclusive menu, she presents a full array of Piedmont wines, such as the white Gaja-Rossj Bass 2021, and the king and queen of red wines, the Giacomo Fenocchio Bussia Riserva 2015 Barolo and the Marchesi di Barolo 2019 Serragrilli Barbaresco. In place of champagne as a starter, Chin offers a sparkling wine from Lombardy, a neighbouring region, as sparkling production in Piedmont is far less common.

The White Truffle Menu is priced at RM890 and RM1,580 with wine pairings. Guests also have the option of selecting the dishes from the à la carte menu for a more flexible experience. For dining reservations, call +603 7495 2009 or send a WhatsApp message to +6019 381 5568. This menu is available until 31 December 2025, or while truffle season lasts.
