Robb Report Malaysia United The Very Best Of Global Luxury Under One Roof

From the fine furniture of Roche Bobois to Johnnie Walker Blue Label’s limited-editions, Robb Report Malaysia brought together the best of the best in Forest Furniture.

On a recent Friday afternoon, guests of Robb Report Malaysia gathered for a moment of discovery at Forest Furniture. The exclusive affair tapped into a pre-weekend spirit, perfect for experiencing some of the world’s finest, from France to Iran.

Launched in 2024, Forest Furniture offers a curated line-up of furnishing pieces, anchored in part by Roche Bobois, a world-leading French designer and retailer. The showroom also presents other notable brands, such as Bonaldo, Visionnaire, Gamma, and more. Guests were especially keen on Roche Bobois’ Mah Jong sofa, designed by Hans Hopfer in collaboration with Missoni, an Italian fashion powerhouse. This Mah Jong composition also takes on a range of textile interpretations by other style icons such as Kenzō Takada and Jean Paul Gaultier, to name a few.

Each Mah Jong cushion bears Missoni’s signature zigzag patterns, entirely handsewn with care.

While admiring the exquisite furniture, guests also explored a showcase of protective solutions by Xpel, safeguarding prized possessions from cars and watches to homes and even pickleball racquets. “We are very honoured for this collaboration to showcase our innovations that complement luxury living,” said John Chung Shieh, operation director of Xpel Malaysia. Available in more than 90 countries, Xpel is also the only protective film manufacturer listed on the Nasdaq stock exchange.

Xpel offers services that withstand scratches, restore brilliance, minimise imperfections, and shield from harmful UV rays.

Over by Roche Bobois’ Rio Ipanema dining table, guests took part in a whisky masterclass with Johnnie Walker. Here, they were treated to some of the rare variants of the ultra-luxurious Blue Label, introducing the Ice Chalet, Elusive Umami, and the standard Blue Label for perspective. These were best paired with the creamy pop of Beluga and Ossetra caviar by Caspian Caviar House and Cavira Caviar. As the exclusive distributors for one of Iran’s largest and oldest sturgeon farms, they also supply to Malaysia’s most prestigious hotels and restaurants, including Skillet KL, Akâr Dining, and EQ Kuala Lumpur.

This gourmet treasure, however, isn’t just a delicacy to be consumed. Guided by La Prairie’s expert team, guests experienced its caviar-infused skincare, witnessing its immediate effects on-site. Each guest also received private consultations to devise a bespoke skincare routine, learning about its regenerative abilities to combat volume loss and fine lines over time.

As is tradition, the afternoon couldn’t go without canapés. The delights served that day were crafted by chef Andy Choy, whose culinary legacy spans from the modern Italian cuisine of Nice Bistronome to the French patisseries of Doux Doux. To bring the experience to a close, guests refreshed their palates with the purity of Tŷ Nant sparkling water, known for its clean taste yet soft mouthfeel, and drawn from deep beneath the Welsh Cambrian Mountains.
