In an exclusive after-dark setting, members of the SHAREDA Council recently gathered for a private dinner at Hyatt Centric Kota Kinabalu with Robb Report Malaysia and Cortina Watch, featuring Franck Muller’s 2025 novelties. Set against the city’s coastal backdrop, the evening spotlighted the artistry of fine watchmaking—from contemporary silhouettes to high jewellery masterpieces—over a special dining experience paired with cognac from Maison Martell.
Six exceptional Franck Muller timepieces were showcased, inviting guests to admire the craftsmanship up close: the Renaissance-inspired Vanguard Sfumato Slim; the nautical-themed Vanguard Sail Yachting; the avant-garde Vanguard Royal Bauxite; the jewel-encrusted Vanguard Curvex Cut Flower; the summer-ready #FR2NCK Muller Vanguard Beach Limited Edition, created in collaboration with Tokyo streetwear label #FR2; and the modernised Cintrée Curvex Nuance from the Cintrée Curvex collection.
The evening commenced with a cocktail reception at ON23 Sky Bar, featuring handcrafted mocktails and cocktails as well as artisanal canapes prepared by both the hotel’s culinary team and CKT Traiteur. Following a warm welcome by Garrick Low, managing director of Franck Muller SEA and Pacific, guests were seated for a curated multi-course dinner by chef Andy Choy of CKT Traiteur.
Each dish was paired with selections from Martell, including the Martell Single Cru Borderies—an expression known for its sweet fruit profile, delicate floral notes, and gentle spice. Highlights from Choy’s menu included capellini with fresh scallops, foie gras topped with pickle and plum, and a delicate mille-feuille infused with palm sugar and coffee. Amid clinking glasses, the night passed in a relaxed rhythm, filled with friendly chatter and the delight of new connections.
