A gathering of hypercars is rather uncommon, yet Wynn Resorts Macau is raising the bar by presenting the apex of automotive engineering with its spectacular Wynn Signature – 2024 Hypercar Exhibition, hosted across both Wynn Palace and Wynn Macau until 13 October. Supported by the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO), the exhibition features 30 of the world’s rarest hypercars valued at HK$1.5 billion. Many of these one-of-a-kind hypercars are making their debuts in Macau, showcasing Wynn’s exclusive lifestyle indulgences while highlighting the region’s diverse attractions as a global hub for tourism. “This treasured collection exemplifies the pinnacle of technological craftsmanship, and we are determined to broaden Macau’s stature and defining traits to a worldwide audience,” says Linda Chen, Wynn Macau, Limited’s president, vice chairman and executive director.
During the recent official launch ceremony, distinguished guests and global industry leaders gathered at Wynn Palace to celebrate the unveiling of this coveted exhibition. In attendance were MGTO’s acting director Cheng Wai Tong, who spoke about the ongoing initiatives by tourism operators, as well as racing driver Dean Weng, who offered an in-depth look at the hypercars on display. This year’s collection includes the track-focused Pagani Huayra R, recognised for its acute performance; the Koenigsegg Jesko Attack, equipped with a ‘magic wing’ for substantial downforce; the classic Ferrari Enzo, with its blistering V12 engine; the limited-release Aston Martin V12 Speedster, in honour of the brand’s 100th anniversary; the high-end Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, with only nine units worldwide; and the elusive Porsche 911 GT1 Strassenversion.
Gunther Werks’ client experience manager, Ross Pisarkiewicz, comments on the enormity of this high-calibre exhibition: “As a relatively small company from Southern California, this showcase represents a significant opportunity for global exposure. Being here allows us to present our brand to the most affluent hypercar collectors and the high-net-worth clientele of Wynn Macau.” He continues: “It benefits us on many fronts because we get to promote our brand to various clients here in Asia and, most importantly, to the APAC media as well.”
The bespoke automotive manufacturer distinguishes itself by specialising in what some might call ‘restomod’ or restoration modification for Porsche 911 models. “We’re uniquely positioned at this show because we’re exhibiting our most vintage product—a 30-year-old chassis. We’re combining decades of engineering and design advancements with the distinctive appeal of the 993 Speedster,” Pisarkiewicz says. “Although most of the cars showcased here are brand new, our creation bridges classic and contemporary.”
On view at the east entrance of Wynn Palace is an astounding replica of a Formula 1 racing car, crafted entirely from chocolate and fondant. Constructed by a team of award-winning pastry chefs from the United States—whose credits include Hollywood films and Disneyland installations—the 100kg chocolate-made racing vehicle is 2.5m long and took 360 hours to complete. Additionally, a 1.5m version of this chocolate sculpture is propped at the Lakeside Trattoria in Wynn Macau. Throughout the course of this exhibition, Wynn Palace and Wynn Macau are putting on a series of festivities, including racing-themed culinary experiences at signature restaurants, promotional offers from designated retail stores, and a Hyper Shop pop-up, where guests can purchase time-limited racing merchandises and engage in multi-sensory sessions.
To heighten this thrill, guests can take on the Reaction Training Light Experience at Roger Dubuis boutiques until 31 August 2024, and explore the ongoing collaboration between Aston Martin and Girard-Perregaux at its watchmaking boutique. Shoppers who spend MOP18,000 (RM10,000) or more at Wynn’s retail stores will be eligible for weekly draws of shopping vouchers up to MOP30,000 (RM16,000). Guests can also participate in the Wynn’s Anniversary Extravaganza: High-Speed Thrills Grand Lucky Draw, with a grand price that extends a racetrack and paddock entrance worth MOP388,888 (RM215,000).
