In the month of August, look forward to an elegant offering at The Olive, Resorts World Genting. Simply Prawn-tastic is the promotion of the month and as the theme suggests, you can savour fresh, succulent prawns prepared in various mouth-watering style.
The prawn dishes are creatively named in order to win you over even before you savour them. Those who enjoy wine with their food would be happy to know that the dishes are matched to some fine selections. For example, the Lobster Bisque Crab Cake, Saffron Mayo and Baby Basil is recommended to be paired off with Champagne or heavy white wine, or Old World Chardonnay. The dish is priced at RM53 nett (members) and RM58 nett (non-members).
For the Prawn Salad, Fennel, Mint Jelly, Avocado, Apple, Prawn Fritter and Lime Dressing, the chef recommends sparkling, light to medium-bodied wine like Processo, Pinot Grigio, Sancerre Blanc or the new World Sauvignon Blanc. The dish itself is priced at RM62 nett (members) and RM68 nett (non-members).
The Blue Shell Prawn, Butter Roasted and Served with Caribbean-flavoured Bok Choy and Fig-lime Compote is as delicious as it sounds — priced only at RM116 nett (members) and RM128 nett (non-members). The ideal wine pairing is a medium to heavy white German Riesling or New World Chardonnay & Pouilly-Fuisse.
