Jura Presents The Swiss Way Of Brewing The Perfect Cup Of Coffee
With the launch of Jura’s new flagship boutique, coffee lovers can now experience the precision of Swiss craftsmanship up close.
There was a time when preparing coffee required patience. But, for many, especially in the latter half of the 20th century, instant was the norm, trading aroma and flavour for time and a quick caffeine fix.
More recently, people have been rediscovering coffee for its quality and complexity. “I started out with instant coffee at first. Then, when I went to college, I met my friends, and we found kopi. Now, as a parent, I have teenagers who grew up in the era of cafés,” shares Dick Yoong, group general manager of Dancom Group and the official representatives of Jura, Malaysia. “The coffee culture is constantly evolving, and it’s only gotten more sophisticated.”

To these sophisticated coffee consumers, quality is paramount. Jura, a pioneer in fully automatic coffee machines, seeks to put speed and ease back into coffee-making, without sacrificing any of that quality. With its bean-to-cup technology, the brand makes it possible to enjoy freshly ground coffee from whole beans, rather than capsules, topped with a layer of golden crema—all at the touch of a button and in under a minute. “It’s perfection in a cup,” says Sascha Oliver Hub, Jura’s head of sales for Asia and the Middle East.
Perhaps there is something in the crisp Swiss air and majestic views of Niederbuchsiten—where Jura was founded—that continues to inspire the brand’s pursuit of perfection for 95 years. Now, this legacy reaches Malaysia with the launch of its flagship mono-brand store at The Gardens Mall, in partnership with the Dancom Group.

In this 1,184 sq ft space, Jura presents a range of coffee machines, from home models catering to the everyday coffee enthusiast to professional models for businesses. Among its most notable offerings are the E8 and Z10. The former offers up to 27 coffee specialties, while the latter stands out as Jura’s high-end signature model, delivering up to 51 selections across hot, light, cold brew, and sweet foam options.
There’s something for every coffee drinker and, sometimes, these choices can be a reflection of their character. For Jura ambassador and tennis legend Roger Federer, whose image is found throughout the store, Hub sees a resemblance in the espresso. “He’s a very focused person, reduced to the essentials,” Hub explains.
