In the world of superyachts, the name Sanlorenzo elicits nods of approval from connoisseurs. As a leading global brand, the brand’s creations are driven by an uncompromising approach to aesthetics through stylish, timeless outlines and imbued with refined Italian sophistication, enabling discerning clientele to live la dolce vita in style. To customise their yachts according to their bespoke lifestyles, owners can think of themselves as co-authors alongside the world’s finest designers—including Art Directors Piero Lissoni, Patricia Urquiola, and Francesco Paszkowski.

However, the beauty of Sanlorenzo superyachts goes beyond its visual identity: it lies within, where advanced naval engineering meets purposeful, sustainable innovation. The premier Italian shipyard boasts a diverse range of superyachts, tailored for the cruising style of each yachtsman with its inimitable DNA.

Innovation In Abundance

In 2010, Sanlorenzo unveiled the first model in their signature Steel series, the 46Steel, which became a major influence on contemporary steel superyachts by merging elegance with innovative spatial design and seamless indoor-outdoor living. Today, the current fleet includes five models ranging from 50 to 74 metres, with a key feature of newer models being a beach club that opens on three sides at water level. Starting from the 52Steel model and above, a transparent-bottomed pool on the main deck allows natural light to fill the space for hip sunrise pool parties. The area can also transform into a floodable drive-in tender garage when not in use, an idea which set new standards in the sector.

The 50Steel made strides as the world’s first superyacht with a Green Methanol Reformer Fuel Cell system that converts green methanol into electricity to power yacht systems without onboard hydrogen storage. This enables carbon-neutral, zero-emission operation for most of the time at anchor. Another advancement is the HER system, patented by Sanlorenzo, which enables a redesigned engine room layout and spatial optimisation to fully utilise every inch of the boat, while keeping the yacht within the sub-500GT category. The 50Steel spans over five staggered decks, with reduced partitions and barriers, while its uber-cool interiors are conceived by Lissoni.

For Intrepid Explorers

The 500Exp isn’t just made for soaking up the sun; this 47m long beast will enable you to conquer the most remote corners of the earth, even in heavy seas. With an impressive range of 4,500 nautical miles, it’s made for those who want to go far in life—literally. It features a modern aluminium superstructure inspired by classic exploration vessels. Inside, no compromise was made in terms of comfort for the adventurous yachtsmen. Instead, it boasts lavish interiors, including a balcony that extends from the gym over the water, where one could potentially work out surrounded by whales in Alaska. To facilitate great expeditions, it can even accommodate tenders and sailboats up to 9m in length, a seaplane, or even a submarine. As a first in yachts shorter than 50m, it includes a landing platform for helicopters.

Performance-Driven Elegance

The Alloy is a state-of-the-art all-aluminium fast displacement yacht, measuring 44.5m long and 9m wide. Its lightweight construction results in capabilities of reaching impressive top speeds of 23 knots, improved fuel efficiency at cruising speeds, and greater responsiveness and agility underway. By contrast, the Steel and Explorer yachts prioritise stability, interior volume, and long-range cruising, with displacement hulls designed for endurance rather than outright speed. This fast, lightweight superyacht is characterised by clean, sporty lines with distinctive cutouts in the bulwarks to provide panoramic sea views from the main deck and a sky lounge on the upper deck.

Reimagining Superyacht Living

The 44 X-Space is a cross between an explorer yacht and a floating villa. With its abilities for significant transoceanic travel, perhaps you’d expect a military-inspired silhouette—but exteriors stay true to Sanlorenzo’s design language with sleek, clean lines. Measuring 44m in length with five expansive decks and a gross tonnage of 495 GT, this craft offers an astonishing amount of space, anchored by its voluminous aft area. Through folding balconies, this open-air living area expands an additional 18 sq m for seamless indoor and outdoor connection.
