The silhouette of a towering giraffe ambles gracefully across the vast African savannah as the sun rises each day, signalling the dawn of a new adventure. The rawness of nature combined with the comforts of luxury await guests on this 19-day tour across six African countries with andBeyond in a private jet, no less.

Your journey commences in South Africa, where upon touching down through your own arrangements, you and your 11 guests will be chauffeured to One&Only Cape Town. There, you’ll unearth the historical depth of a UNESCO site, Robben island, which was used as a prison, hospital and military base between the 17th and 20th centuries. You’ll also take part in an adrenaline-inducing shark cage dive with great white shark expert, Chris Fallow.

The next two nights will be spent at the Phinda Vlei Lodge. You’ll enjoy spending most of your time in the private suite, for each has been strategically positioned for a prime view of wildlife that roams the forest, watering hole, and open meadow.

On the sixth day, you’ll hop onto a private jet and set off to Botswana. You’ll spend the next three days helping to translocate rhinos to save them from poachers while putting up at the andBeyond Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge. You’ll then fly to Zimbabwe, marvelling at the wonder that is the Victoria. Let Zimbabwe native safari specialist Chris Worden astound you with stories of the UNESCO World Heritage Site on a private tour. You’ll be staying at andBeyond’s Matsetsi River Lodge, situated along the Zambezi River.

The jet will pick you up once again, and this time, you’ll be whisked off to Tanzania, your home for the next five nights. At andBeyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, you’ll interact with the Maasai warriors. go on full-day game drives, and enjoy an exclusive banquet on the crater floor. You’ll be transferred to andBeyond Serengeti Under Canvas after two nights, and enjoy a scenic hot air balloon ride over the majestic Serengeti. The lodge, set amidst wide expanses of golden sand dunes and mountains, makes for the perfect location to spot your favourite constellations. When darkness falls, you’ll embark on a private stargazing excursion with astronomer Rob Johnstone.

Rwanda marks the fifth leg of your journey, and possibly one of the most interesting ones too. You’ll be put up at Virunga Lodge, and during the day, go on a private trekking experience and search for majestic gorillas in their natural habitat.

The final night is spent at Giraffe Manor in Kenya, where you’ll interact with the manor’s resident herd of giraffe. These guests aren’t as shy as you’d imagine. During meal times, they’ll poke their necks into the windows of a dining area in search of a treat.

Upon checking out, you’ll then be flown back to South Africa, where you may either continue your African journey, or head back home.
