Since its birth in 2001, the Cabat has held pride of place as one of Bottega Veneta’s most iconic silhouettes. Creative director Tomas Maier’s aim was to create a functional tote that was soft and collapsible, with no seams or frame and that would hold its shape when empty.

This month, the Cabat in Soft Nero Crocodile is available for exclusive order for Robb Report readers at Bottega Veneta’s Customisation Atelier in its newly reopened boutique at Ion Orchard. With a technique called nappatura, the crocodile skin is made soft and malleable but without losing its unique characteristics. The bag is made-to-order and will take approximately six months to complete from date of purchase.
