Australia beckons with its latest tourism campaign, #UncoverAustralia, from the 18-cabin cruise ship True North. Book your place on the Kimberley Snapshot expedition and see picturesque King George Falls, Prince Regent River, Montgomery Reef and Horizontal Waterfalls.

The journey begins at Broome with cocktails and welcome dinner with fellow travellers before departing to Yampi Sound. During the week, you’ll fish, catch mud-crabs and do some bird-watching before joining naturalists for a river expedition and reef exploration. Plus get up close with dugongs and manta rays. If you prefer, opt to board the scenic helicopter flight (at additional cost) that manoeuvres through King Cascade.

With its shallow draft (it draws at just 2.5m), you’ll get to sail to unique sights that regular ships can’t reach. Six auxiliary adventures boats will get you even closer to wildlife and the opportunity to take part in activities that pique your interest. At night, whip out your camera and capture the Milky Way in its full glory. With zero light pollution, expect to fall asleep under a blanket of stars every night.
