A Vacheron Constantin Les Cabinotiers Grand Complication Phoenix timepiece
Delicate, lavish, and never to be repeated again, this watch celebrates everything the Les Cabinotiers department stands for. Consider it’s multiple high complications: a minute repeater, a tourbillon and perpetual calendar. Then take into account its real time astronomical indications: the Equation of Time, sunrise and sunset times, a sky chart with sidereal hours and minutes (sidereal time tracks star movements rather than the sun), the age and phase of the moon, and the solstices too.
Instantly mesmerising, all 15 complications are presented on both the back and front displays housed within an intricately carved gold case. Measuring 47mm across and 19.10mm in height, this piece features Vacheron Constantin’s own caliber 2755 along with 58-hour power reserve. Knowing eyes will note that the artisanal engraving utilises the venerated pounced ornament technique for the baseband and fine line engraving for the bezel and caseback.
