See the last sunset of 2018 from Marini’s On 57, Kuala Lumpur’s highest Italian restaurant and lounge. Make sure to pre-book as the festive season is one of the busiest for this establishment. But the good news is that there are three sessions to choose from, each with its own unique menu.
For the Christmas Eve Set Dinner (RM580++ per person or RM680++ per person with window seating) enjoy a 7-course banquet that includes potato ravioli with king crab and sour onion mayonnaise, Carnaroli risotto with Bagoss cheese, porcini mushrooms and shaved truffles, with your choice of main: an-seared turbot or slow cooked lamb loin. Wrap up with a classic Italian Panettone with Pandora and Mascarpone cheese sauce.
On Christmas Day itself, the set dinner (RM480++ per person or RM580++ per person with window seating) features 6 courses. Savour Italian seafood staples such as scallop Cannolo with cauliflower puree and shaved truffles, house-made lobster Raviolo with broccolini and Cantabrian anchovies, and your choice of roasted Black Angus tenderloin or pan-seared Japanese Sea Bream.
And to kick off the grand finale, a New Year’s Eve set dinner menu (RM1,157++ per person or RM1,257++ per person with window seating) of three hors d’oeuvres followed by ten courses. Whet your appetite on specialties like pumpkin foam with 32-months aged Parmesan cheese and shaved truffles. Then enjoy mains like caramelised Cod fish and Mullet eggs on artichoke puree, or the sumptuous Wagyu tenderloin (marble score 9) with bone marrow espuma, beef jus and black truffles.
