Things are brightening at night in the old imperial capital of Vietnam at Huế, and will stay that way all summer long.
Pivoting off the authorities’ decision to open and illuminate the Imperial City from 7-10 pm daily, starting April 22, La Residence Huế Hotel & Spa is launching HuếGlow, a new package that combines an evening’s visit to the UNESCO-recognised palace, a day on the beach and a barbecue on the beach, to boot.
HuếGlow also includes two night’s accommodation in a superior room with daily breakfast at La Residence, one of Vietnam’s most acclaimed hotels.
“Hue is hot in the summer, and while it’s exactly what international guests want for time on the beach, it’s not what you want when visiting palaces and pavilions of the city’s renowned Capital City,” said Phan Trong Minh. “When the authorities decided to open the City at night, we decided to complement that opportunity with some R&R on the beach.”
In the offer’s two-night package, the hotel ushers guests into the East Asian Wonderland of the UNESCO World Heritage site’s Imperial City, seat of the Nguyen Empire from 1804 to 1945. The tour takes in the monumental South Gate, the Palace of Supreme Harmony and the Forbidden Purple City.
The following day, the hotel whisks HuếGlow guests in a private car out to Thuan An Beach on the East Sea. A private beachfront facility provides shade, comfort and other necessities for a day on the beach. As the sun sinks, the barbecue starts glowing as hotel chefs prepare a private dinner for two of hand-picked seafood, meats and salads.
HuếGlow costs VND14,300,000 for the two-night stay double occupancy and is valid through October 31, 2017
