At the recently launched Beni situated at SkyAvenue in Resorts World Genting – an extension of the Michelin-starred Beni in Singapore – a series of popular paired wine dinners has showcased recent vintages from Old and New World wineries. The latest in the series takes place on Wednesday evening, 15th January, featuring the best of Napa Valley with four stellar vineyards ranging from Sterling, Beringer, Beaulieu and Stags’ Leap. Napa Valley, being Cab country, means that Cabernet Sauvignon will feature together with a mix of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, as well as a red wine blend and Petite Sirah. These vintages will be paired to the sparkling cuisine of Beni which offers its unique Japanese reinterpretation of authentic French cuisine, integrating Japanese produce such as wagyu and seasonal ingredients into a gastronomic journey.
Leading the exploration into these vintages is Sam Stephens, Penfolds’ Asian brand ambassador who has over 20 years of wine trade experience under his belt. The Adelaide-originated oenophile is a skilled WSET tutor and has worked in McLaren Vale alongside viticulturists and winemakers.
