All things tamarind at the Sanctum Inle Sanctuary Spa

What began as Sanctum Inle’s massage therapists experimenting with fresh tamarind from the resort’s immense tamarind trees has morphed into its Sanctuary Spa’s signature treatment. The Tamarind Scrub is a 30-minute deep cleansing and exfoliation treatment using tamarind sourced from the resort’s gardens brimming with tamarind trees aged more than 100 years as well as natural rice meal and honey. In addition to nourishing the body’s skin by removing dead skin cells and replenishing moisture, the scrub’s scent is sublime. The treatment can be indulged on its own or as part of the ‘Inner Sanctum Journey’, a two hour-plus package at that starts with the signature tamarind scrub before a 60-minute massage and a deep cleansing facial.
