For the first time in Maison Martell's three centuries of existence, its Cellar Master is selecting five of its rarest and most precious eau-de-vie which has surpassed the century milestone. Each year,
starting from 2021, one exceptional and incredibly limited eau-de-vie will be released exclusively to connoisseurs.

THE TASTING
This eau-de-vie, distilled in 1921, was moved to the Jean Martell cellar in 1956, the reserve of the Maison's most exquisite expressions. In 1987, it was judged to have attained perfection, and transferred to a
glass Dame-Jeanne until its bottling this year.
The Martell Centenary 1921 is intensely aromatic and rich, with a true freshness originating from its Grande Champagne terroir. The result is a powerful, structured cognac with immense length on the palate.

THE DECANTER
To contain such a historic cognac, Martell turned to nonpareil French fine crystal maker Baccarat, founded in 1764 under the auspices of King Louis XV. Each Baccarat crystal carafe meant for the Martell Centenary 1921
is hand-blown by master craftsmen, who meticulously engrave motifs of vine leaves and shoots to recall Maison Martell's legendary terroir. A crystal stopper is emblazoned with the Martell shield in hand-painted gold.
The same floral motif is also expressed on the hand-crafted marquetry wooden box for the decanter. A golden medallion indicates the limited number in this collection, with 70 only in existence for this year's edition. In Malaysia, only four decanters number 53, 54, 55 and 56 - are made available for purchase.
