In the lead-up to the 2029 debut of Wolo Mont Kiara KL’s 60-storey tower, the brand’s We Only Live Once concept is entering its next phase of creative and strategic developments. At a two-part panel moderated by Deborah Henry in the Level 19 suite of Wolo Kuala Lumpur, guests were given an insider look into what lies ahead for the new property.

The morning kicked off with a global marketing partnership signing between Wolo Mont Kiara KL and real estate services provider Savills Malaysia. Guests settled in for an insightful panel discussion over specialty coffee brewed on a Swiss-originated Jura Z10 machine (RM16,500), featuring Savills Malaysia executives Datuk Paul Khong, Murli Menon, and Fong Kean Hwa.

On what makes Malaysia an attractive market for global residences, Khong said, “Branded residences are growing rapidly, as buyers seek lifestyle assurance, consistent service, and long-term value protection. Kuala Lumpur fits perfectly into this trend with its rising affluence, international community, and compelling value proposition.” He added, “Savills is selective when choosing Malaysian developments to promote internationally. Wolo Mont Kiara KL meets global standards, with a strong boutique brand identity, alignment with international hospitality, premium design credentials, and a strategic location supported by structural demand. This is a Malaysian development we believe can confidently compete on the world stage, and that’s why we’re proudly standing behind it.”

WATCH: The Penthouse Collection By 932 Design Group

The afternoon session built on the morning’s momentum with a first look at the Penthouse Collection on levels 30 to 39, designed by Singapore-based 932 Design Group. Special guest Dato’ Seri Datuk Wira Lee Chong Wei was in attendance. A candid conversation between Magma Group’s Alan Wong and 932 Design Group’s Low Chee Kiang and Roystern Goh flowed as guests sipped on crafted Mortlach and champagne cocktails. Sam Kinugawa of Bā by Kinugawa brought his creations to life with Shiso Mammy Tailor, Jackfruit Old Fashioned, Layered Whisky Sour, and the crowd-favourite Clarified Watermelon Champagne, made with Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label. Guests were also treated to a Mortlach single-malt whisky tasting, featuring a special edition bottle by Philippe Starck.

Speaking on how the Penthouse Collection was envisioned, Wong explained, “We wanted to focus on balance and inclusivity, a place that resonates with everyone, whether young, old, or middle-aged. People loved the design but wanted larger units, so that led us to create a limited edition of penthouses. As interest grew fast, we went from 20 to 30, and, eventually, to 50 units.”

Low added, “Each location has its own story. Malaysian culture is rich and beautiful, and a home should feel like that: serene and welcoming. This guided our design decisions, from floorplates to orientation.” A visual presentation by Goh gave guests a better sense of the penthouses, revealing mountain and city views across four design themes: Calm in Bloom, Amberline, Quiet Luminescence, and Whispering Grove.

To enliven the occasion, the suite was transformed into a curated House of Robb experience, showcasing some of the most design-forward names in luxury. Jaeger-LeCoultre presented its iconic Atmos clocks, an Art Deco-inspired mechanical marvel powered solely by air. On display were the gilt-brass Atmos Classique Phases De Lune (RM55,000) and the glass-bodied Atmos Transparante (RM64,500), alongside other timepieces, including the diamond-set 101 Feuille (RM1,120,000) and the twin power reserve Duometre Sphérotourbillon (RM1,136,000).

Sound came alive thanks to Bang & Olufsen’s listening suite. Featured were the Beolab 8 (from RM32,180), a compact yet mighty speaker with adaptive room compensation; the Beosound A9 (from 18,534), a customisable design speaker on solid oak legs or wall-mounted; and the Beosound 2 (from 16,294), delivering 360-degree sound through advanced acoustic lens technology.

Adding a sensory touch, Aesop products were displayed throughout the suite. Callippus and Ptolemy scented candles perfumed the space, while guests took home travel-size Geranium Leaf body cleanser and body balm. The String Quartet In Residence performed classic and contemporary hits, providing a melodic backdrop as CKT Traiteur circulated a selection of canapes, including their signature capellini with fresh squid.
