Evening of Sharing Watch-making Insights with Laurent Ferrier

Time Well Spent

On a lovely evening in Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur, an intimate gathering of guests turned up at the swish Torii Bar and Restaurant. Here, they were welcomed by Vanessa Monestel, CEO of Laurent Ferrier, as well as Christian Ferrier, the son of the watchmaking brand’s founder. The younger Ferrier – who now serves at the watchmaking outfit as its technical director – regaled guests with insights into some of Laurent Ferrier’s stunning 2018 pieces – chief among them, the Galet Traveller Asia, a continent-specific rendition of the hugely popular enamel dial featuring the world map, as well as the North American and European variants.

Over fresh sashimi, skewers of yakitori and delicious foie gras and unagi, guests shared stories of watch connoisseurship. To pair with this array of cuisine was the Sullivan’s Cove French Oak, winner of the best single malt in 2014, by World Whiskey Awards, as well as flutes of the delicate Perrier-Jouet Grand Brut champagne.
