Louis XIII Celebrates Fine Cognac With An Evening Of Gastronomy And Merriment

On a recent Monday night, an estimated 150 people, showed up at Kingdom Palace restaurant in Mutiara Damansara for a celebration of the high points of Louis XIII held in collaboration with Ben Yeoh, MD of HOH Wine & Spirit Supplier. The Timeless Night with Louis XIII, as it were, was masterfully conceived by Remy Cointreau Malaysia to showcase dazzling iterations of Louis XIII’s precious aged cognac ranging from its miniatures to its jeroboam Baccarat decanters, the AHD Black Pearl of 2019 which was a tribute to Remy Martin’s visionary chairman Andre Heriard-Dubreuil, and, of course, this year’s highlight, the sophomore release of its limited edition biennial Time Collection II: Tribute to City of Lights 1900 – harking back to the year in which Louis XIII received the highest praise at the Paris Exposition, a global fair of engineering feats and artistic triumphs. 

Over the course of the evening, guests enjoyed a gastronomic parade of Kingdom Palace’s masterpieces, paired with delicious French fine wines and, of course, Louis XIII served in crystal glassware. The exceptional evening was heightened by performances of Cassidy and Joy Victor whose cabaret-esque style recalled Paris at the turn of the 20th century when the legend of Louis XIII was burnished by the golden acclaim of the Paris Exposition.
