Hats off to A Fashionable globe-trotter

A former model and self-described adventurer, Nick Fouquet has lived and worked all over the globe, from his native New York City to the South of France and Patagonia. He now resides in Southern California, where he has channeled his wanderlust into hat making. The handmade creations at his Venice store range from a US$950 (RM3,820) beaver-fur felt hat to a US$1,158  (RM4,670) printed felt model. He also does bespoke commissions.

“The trick is to own the hat, and not let the hat own you,” Fouquet says he tells his clients. “To rock a hat, you need to feel confident and comfortable in your own skin.”
