Acting as a symbol of devotion and commitment, Cartier’s iconic Love bracelet has long served as an emblem for modern romance. Designed by Aldo Cipullo in 1969, its minimalistic and sleek composition has graced the wrists of some of the world’s most iconic couples—from Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, to the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.

Its unisex style painted a simple but devout love story, where the golden bangle’s tiny screws represented an unbreakable bond, requiring a dedicated screwdriver to lock it onto the wrist. Yet, as love continues to strengthen and deepen with experience, so has this timeless design.

Last year, Cartier introduced the Love Unlimited collection, which evolved the original rigid oval-shaped bangle into a flexible form made up of fine, gadrooned links that read as a ribbon of gold. Its assembly involves 200 hand-polished miniaturised components, and features a Cartier-patented invisible clasp in place of the screwdriver locking mechanism that allows the wearer to connect different bracelets together to mix-and-match with ease—it can be worn in pairs, layered in coils, or styled as a choker. The distinctive Love screws remain as a visual motif, anchoring it to the original bangle.

For 2026, Love Unlimited introduces several new formats, including a necklace. Structurally and visually similar to the supple Love Unlimited bracelet, the links are angled slightly differently, allowing it to drape more fluidly about the neck. It is available in rose gold, yellow gold, and rhodium-plated white gold.

The range of Love Unlimited bracelets has also been expanded, now with an option that features a series of 0.80-carat round diamonds enhancing the bangle in place of the screw. These use a special screw-shaped setting that enhances the visual flair of each gem, and are also available in rose gold, yellow gold, and white gold. Like the non-gemset versions, these can also be combined with other bracelets, expanding the range of options available to the creative wearer.

Finally, rounding out the expanded collection are new Love Unlimited rings. Like the bracelet, these were released in 2025 with a gadroon pattern and screw motif; the screws have also now been replaced with diamonds, lending an additional sparkle to their subtle charm.
