Step out of the shade with Carrera’s Maverick collection

With a nod to the vintage styles that have distinguished its luxury eyewear since the mid-1950s, Carrera debuts its much-anticipated Fall/Winter 2016 Maverick collection with a range of stunning sunglasses and optical frames befitting the Italian designer’s sterling reputation.

Carrera’s latest line of sunglasses introduces four classy new models, each available in a variety of eye-catching color combinations and three lens shades. The 125/S and 126/S feature elegant round- and drop-shaped lenses mounted onto light-weight nylon-fiber frames, each noted for their svelte double bridge and high quality steel temples. The classic aviator style gets a contemporary look with the bold 127/S, which comes in four color options and is distinguished by discreet golden clips fastening the bridge and brow bar to the frame. Carrera also puts a modern spin on a throwback look with its 128/S, which has metal laser-cut rounded lenses and is available in four configurations, including our favourite, gold with dark grey lenses.

With the Maverick line also arrives two additions to Carrera’s optical series. The on-trend CA6663, available in black or gold, features a thin aviator-style laser-cut steel frame with an understated matte finish and beautiful reversed double bridge. The similarly vintage-inspired CA6665, made from premium quality Ultem material that affords a high level of durability and flexibility, has classic rounded lenses mounted in a slim, smart frame that comes with a choice of six colors.
