It has been 20 years since the debut of the BR-01 by Bell & Ross, a timepiece that made an impact with its bold square shape, four visible screws, and imposing 46mm case, marking a pivotal moment for the brand.Inspired by aviation instruments, the BR-01 is more than just a wrist accessory; it is a functional tool designed to meet pilots’ demands for readability and functionality while keeping the timeless, rugged aesthetics of aviation equipment.

With the launch of the BR-01, the company established itself as a producer of square watches that closely resemble aviation instruments. Bell & Ross classifies its timepieces into three categories: Aviation, Marine, and Vintage, each offering different case sizes, shapes, movements, and dial layouts.

This year, Bell & Ross commemorates this anniversary with a new campaign titled “20 Years of Boldness,” reflecting the history and evolution of the creations associated with this square watch. New timepieces are also being launched, such as the BR-03 Skeleton: The Elevation. This new piece draws inspiration from the BR-01 by combining horological heritage with technical advancement, featuring three models equipped with a skeleton movement: the BR-03 Skeleton Black Ceramic, the BR-03 Skeleton Grey Steel, and the BR-03 Skeleton Lum Ceramic.

Each of these BR-03 Skeleton models is equipped with a custom calibre that showcases the brand’s creativity and watchmaking expertise, delivering exceptional technical performance while highlighting high-precision craftsmanship.

However, the Bell & Ross story did not begin in 2005; it started back in 1994 when childhood friends Carlos-Antonio Rosillo and Bruno Belamich teamed up to establish the brand. The name combines the initial syllables of their surnames: Belamich and Rosillo.
