The Latest Omega Seamaster James Bond Edition Also Includes Its Own Villainous Counterpart

Alongside the new Omega Seamaster James Bond edition, Omega for the first time introduces a counterpart—dedicated to the antagonistic Spectre organisation.

It was Omega that put a diver’s watch on James Bond’s wrist, the perfect timepiece for a Royal Navy commander-turned-international superspy: a rugged, practical tool with a sheen of dressy sophistication. It has been more than 30 years since the Omega Seamaster debuted in GoldenEye (1995), but the legacy continues this year with the new James Bond and Spectre editions of the Seamaster Diver 300M.

The latter is a particularly noteworthy addition, marking the first time the watchmaker has dedicated a reference to the shadowy villainous organisation that Bond has been battling since Dr. No (1962). Buyers can now choose between light and dark, hero and antagonist, duty and independence, or perhaps play both sides.

The collection is anchored by two non-limited steel models (RM37,500). Both are powered by the Master Chronometer-certified Co-Axial Calibre 8806, with an especially prominent winding rotor visible through the display caseback of their 42mm cases. For good reason, too. Each rotor features a unique design: the 007 logo framed within the iconic gun-barrel motif on the James Bond edition, and Spectre’s black octopus emblem on its counterpart.

Bond mythology aside, these are a pair of moody, industrial-looking references distinguished by grain-textured bezels with numerals and scales laser-ablated in positive relief. On the James Bond edition, the bezel is crafted from titanium, giving it a tone-on-tone appearance that blends seamlessly with the case, while the blue aluminium dial is laser-engraved with the iconic Seamaster wave pattern.

The Spectre edition is, unsurprisingly, darker and more monochromatic, pairing a black ceramic bezel with an equally dark, grain-finished dial. Both watches are fitted with brushed steel mesh bracelets, lending a retro, utilitarian aesthetic that remains unmistakably refined. Owners can also expect the usual Seamaster credentials, including 300m of water resistance and a 55-hour power reserve.

In addition, Omega is offering two collector’s sets, each limited to just 77 pieces worldwide, that pair one of the steel models with a platinum-gold counterpart (RM392,000). Both precious-metal watches feature raised platinum numerals on polished ceramic bezels, blue for the James Bond edition and black for the Spectre version.

They also come with white-gold dials decorated with either a blue gun-barrel motif or a black octopus emblem. The distinctive rotor designs return, now enhanced with blue PVD and Moonshine Gold accents. Both watches are fitted with alligator leather straps and are presented in a special box containing accessories such as a strap-changing tool, loupe, and cufflinks.
