The new Santos from Cartier echoes with refinement and Parisian geometry, harking back to the larger-than-life inspiration figure of its namesake, aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont. Its multi-purpose strap – in a choice of steel, gold, calfskin or alligator – come equipped with the QuickSwitch system which enables the wearer to swap between the options for a more varied look to their ensemble. Inside, the 1847 MC automatic calibre has been upgraded with anti-magnetic properties; a paramagnetic alloy shield and movement components which better resist the vicissitudes of magnetism.
