In our weekly TWIL series, we bring you the latest in luxury news from around the world. This week’s highlights: Breguet celebrates this year’s Chinese Zodiac animal, Bvlgari presents three new dazzling timepieces from its Eclettica collection, Paul & Shark debuts its 2026 Spring/Summer collection, and The RuMa Hotel, as well as EQ Kuala Lumpur, usher in the Easter season with a slew of dining and stay experiences.

The Breguet Classique 7185 Continues The Spirit Of The Year Of The Horse

The Swiss watchmaker has created an exclusive design celebrating the Chinese zodiac, limited to three series of eight pieces each. A pair of horses is depicted, with one rearing to symbolise power and energy. Crafted in 18K Breguet gold, the dial of this handsome timepiece is entirely guilloché and hand-engraved, while the signature Breguet hands, with their ‘hollowed apple’ tips, are also crafted in gold. The piece is housed in an 18K Breguet gold case with curved lugs; the case middle and case back echo the guilloché pattern of the oscillating weight, and it is paired with an alligator leather strap. The Breguet Classique 7185 (RM388,900) features a calibre 502.3 self-winding movement beating at 3 Hz, with a 45-hour power reserve.

Bvlgari Unveils High-Jewellery Watches From Its Eclettica Collection

The Italian maison blurs the line between art, jewellery and watchmaking in a trio of dazzling timepieces. The first is the Notte Stellata Divas’ Dream High-Jewellery Watch in white gold, an astral map of Rome’s birth in 753 B.C. set with black opal, snow-set sapphires, and diamonds, encapsulated under a domed glass. This is paired with a supple bracelet inspired by the iconic Divas’ Dream fan motif, and is powered by the new Piccolissimo BVP 100 micro-movement. Next, the Pavone Bracelet High-Jewellery Watch recreates the peacock, a recurring emblem of Roman art, with a hypnotic wheel of feathers of glittering diamonds, rubellites, and emeralds. Lastly, the Serpenti Dea Secret High-Jewellery Watch in white gold features its ever-transformative icon, which coils fluidly around the wrist, with the snake’s head crowned by marquise-cut emeralds and piercing emerald eyes, guarding a secret dial set with pavé diamonds.

Girard-Perregaux Unveils Its RM2 Million Minute Repeater Flying Bridges

The luxury Swiss watch house has been on an ambitious streak of late, and it has clearly not abated with the new Minute Repeater Flying Bridges (RM2.6 million). It combines history—as in the classical minute repeater complication, along with the Three Bridges construction that is a brand signature that dates back to the 19th century—and modern innovation.

The movement was constructed with sound purity and projection in mind. Its openworked nature promotes optimal resonance; titanium plates and bridges facilitate vibrations going through the rose gold case; the gongs and gong stud are made from a single piece of metal to avoid noise or interference; the white gold micro-rotor winding mechanism is silent; and the tourbillon—well, that might just be for showing off. And in case you were wondering, the third bridge is found on the back side of the movement. This timepiece is not a limited edition, but production is highly limited.

Montblanc Presents Its Latest Masters Of Art Collection, Paying Homage To French Artist Henri Matisse

The collection’s highlight is an eight-piece limited edition of fountain pens crafted largely out of solid white gold. Cap and barrel are decorated with handcrafted enamel in hues and motifs taken from the painting Purple Robe and Anemones (1937); the cap is set off by a red carnellan, contrasted by green jade on the base of the cone; and the shape of the clip takes after one of Matisse’s noted cut-out artworks, The Sheaf (1953). Meanwhile, a dash of flair is supplied by the selective use of diamonds, including those depicting the iconic Montblanc emblem on the cap. The solid gold nib sports a diamond of its own, as well as an embossing inspired by one of the artist’s more enigmatic compositions: Large Face (Mask).

Paul & Shark Presents Its Spring/Summer 2026 Campaign

The campaign, aptly titled Reflections of Light, is set on the island of Milos, where stark natural elements frame a narrative of balance, purity, and authenticity. Featuring a man and woman in quiet dialogue with nature, the campaign positions the environment as integral rather than decorative. The collection emphasises functional elegance, with knitwear, outerwear, and hybrid pieces crafted through innovative materials and refined construction. A palette anchored in the brand’s signature blue expands into bright, Mediterranean-inspired hues. Overall, the campaign reinforces Paul & Shark’s core values of performance, research, and timeless sophistication.
